Executive Director Position: appointed annually by the Conservation Board

  • Has custody, control and management of all real and personal property acquired for museums, parks, preserves, playgrounds, recreation centers, county forests, county wildlife areas, and other county conservation recreation purposes.
  • Director is responsible to the County Conservation Board for carrying out its policies
  • Board members serve five year terms without compensation except for actual expenses and are appointed by the County Board of Supervisors

The picture was taken Friday October 12. The picture shows the coffer dam around the center pier and some grubbing work on the north abutment.
Motor Mill Bridge Replacement - Day 2
During the flood of 2008, the north span of the Motor Mill Bridge was destroyed.  As a result, FEMA allowed funding to replace the north span of the bridge to the pre-disaster state of the bridge.  The south span had been washed in the 1991 flood.
